They officially renamed the hotel to the current Planet Hollywood in 2007 and began renovations to alter the decor and theming, from the Desert Passage and other Aladdin motifs to a more contemporary and current vibe.
Previously on the site of the former Aladdin Hotel, the current Planet Hollywood can trace its origins to 2003 when a “new” Aladdin was going to be built with a tentative Planet Hollywood music project located behind it. Planet Hollywood has evolved into an eclectic and hip spot that entices visitors and locals alike.
